# Santa chats, Christmas lists and toy aisle survival

Plain-spoken articles for parents who hear "I want that!" in every store. We cover how to text Santa, how to keep a Christmas list without spoiling the surprise, and how to get through the toy aisle with your budget and your sanity intact.

## TL;DR

- Three topics: [Santa chat](/santa-chat), [Christmas lists](/christmas-list) and [parent guides](/parent-guides).
- Written by a parent, with external sources checked before we link to them.
- We make Santa Wishlist, so we mention it where it helps, and we point to other options when they fit better.

## What you will find on the blog

The Santa Wishlist blog is organized into three collections, each built around a moment parents actually face from November to December. Pick the one that matches your question.

- **[Santa chat](/santa-chat):** how to text Santa, how to answer tricky questions, and how to keep the magic going in a safe way.
- **[Christmas list](/christmas-list):** how to keep a kid's wish list, track gifts, and share the list with grandparents without ruining the surprise.
- **[Parent guides](/parent-guides):** practical, seasonal advice for the aisle, the budget and the last week before Christmas.

## How we write

Every article starts with a short summary at the top, answers the question first, and links to the sources behind any claim. We do not invent statistics, and we say so when we do not know something. When an article mentions Santa Wishlist, it also says what the app does not do.

## FAQ

### Who writes the Santa Wishlist blog?

Articles are bylined to [Joey Bolohan](/authors/joey-bolohan), an Orange County dad and the founder of Enzak LLC, the company behind Santa Wishlist.

### Is the blog just ads for the app?

We make Santa Wishlist, so yes, we mention it where it helps. We also point to other things that suit families better, such as mailing a letter to Santa or following the Christmas Eve tracker.

### How often is the blog updated?

We publish new articles through the Christmas season and refresh older ones before each new season, so the dates and details stay current.
