Four steps, one hand
How it works
Santa Wishlist is built for the moment in the store when your kid points and says "I want that for Christmas!" Here is exactly what happens, from the first photo to the shopping list.
- 1
Add your kid
Give your child a first name and an age if you like. Both are optional, and both only help Santa sound personal. Each kid gets their own Santa chat, so every child gets their own magic.
Name, age and avatar are all optional.
- 2
Snap or type
In the aisle, open the camera and take a photo of the toy, or type what your kid just said. Add a short note for Santa if you want. Photos use 2 Candy Canes and text uses 1.
One hand. About ten seconds.
- 3
Santa texts back
Santa and his elves reply in a few seconds, in character, and in a way that fits your child's age. Kids can ask Santa things too, like "Are the reindeer ready?" or "What do elves eat?"
Replies match your child's age.
- 4
The elves keep the list
Each item is quietly logged to a private gift list with its photo, name and price. Open it with your PIN or Face ID when you are ready to shop, check off what you have bought, and export it as text to share with grandparents.
Locked behind your PIN or Face ID.
What Santa does, and what he does not
Santa replies in character, in two to four short sentences, and always keeps it playful. He talks about the toy, the elves and the North Pole. He never promises that a child will get a particular gift. When you send a photo, the elves are "taking a look." When you type a wish, Santa has "made a note."
Why Santa will not promise a gift
You are the one who decides what gets bought. Santa keeps the magic going, and the list gives you the details. That keeps the surprise yours.
The secret gift list
The gift list is separate from the chat. Your child sees the Santa chat. Only you can open the list, and it asks for your Parent PIN or Face ID every time. The list unlocks for two minutes, then locks again.
- One list per kid, with a photo, an item name and a price when one can be found
- Check off what you have bought
- Export the list as plain text to send to grandparents
- Your lists and photos stay, whatever your Candy Cane balance is
What Santa Wishlist does not do
Santa Wishlist is a small, focused app. Here are the honest limits of the first version:
- Text and photo only. There are no voice calls or video calls with Santa.
- It is not a Santa tracker, and it is not an office gift exchange tool.
- Lists are not shared live between two parents yet. You can export a list as text.
- English only for now.
- Santa's replies are written by AI. They are reviewed by automated safety filters, which are good but not perfect, so a parent is always holding the phone.
Frequently asked questions
Does my child need an account?
No. You make the one account, as the parent. Your child's name and age are optional, you are the one who enters them, and they are only used to make Santa's replies feel personal.
Is Santa a real person or AI?
Santa's replies are generated by AI and reviewed by automated safety filters. Santa Wishlist is operated by parents, for parents, and is intended for use by adults with their children.
Will Santa promise my child a gift?
No. Santa never promises that a child will receive an item. He says things like "the elves are taking a look" or "I have made a note." You decide what gets bought.
What happens to the photos I send?
Photos stay private. They are stored so Santa can reply and so the item can appear on your list, and they are deleted when you delete your account.
Can Santa call my child, or can we video chat?
No. Santa Wishlist is text and photo only. It is also not a Santa tracker. It is a way to answer "I want THAT!" in the moment and keep a private list for you.
